Vaso de papelCon la llegada de 2023, los restaurantes y establecimientos de comida para llevar se encontrarán con nuevas obligaciones relacionadas con los recipientes utilizados para su delivery y takeaway por lo que la mayorista de envases desechables Envapro recomienda utilizar productos sostenibles para fomentar la economía circular y cumplir los nuevos requerimientos.

Estas nuevas exigencias están recogidas en dos leyes: la Ley de Residuos y Suelos Contaminados, y la Ley de Prevención de las Pérdidas y del Desperdicio Alimentario. La primera de ellas, que entró en vigor en abril de 2022, supone desde enero del próximo año un ‘impuesto verde’ a los envases no reutilizables que contengan plástico, a razón de 0,45€ por kilogramo de la cantidad de plástico no reciclado, que el fabricante deberá repercutir en sus facturas. Esta ley incluye novedades en el uso de Vaso de papel, tapas y recipientes de plástico de un solo uso de comida para llevar: desde 2023 estará prohibida la distribución de estos artículos sin coste, debiéndose cobrar cada producto de plástico entregado, indicándolo en el ticket de venta, como ya ocurre con las bolsas de plástico.
Desde el 1 de enero del próximo año, los restaurantes estarán obligados a ofrecer a sus clientes, sin coste adicional, las sobras no consumidas en envases sostenibles.
Por otro lado, la ley que persigue evitar el desperdicio alimentario, de aplicación prevista a partir de 2023,obligará a los restaurantes a ofrecer a sus clientes la opción de llevarse de forma gratuita las sobras de la comida en envases que sean “reutilizables, compostables o fácilmente reciclables”. Con el objetivo de evitar la pérdida de alimentos en toda la cadena alimentaria, el ‘táper gratis’ con las sobras será imperativo no solo en restaurantes, sino también en cualquier establecimiento con servicio de comedor o catering como colegios, hospitales, residencias y centros penitenciarios.
Ante el nuevo marco legal que se avecina, Envapro recomienda a los negocios de reparto de comida el uso de envases amigables con el entorno que impulsen una economía baja en emisiones de carbono. Estos productos son, por ejemplo, los Vaso de papel y tapas fabricados en cartón, los envases de caña de azúcar, los cubiertos desechables biodegradables de madera, las pajitas de cartón o los platos de bambú, todos ellos cubiertos desechables biodegradables (fabricados a partir de elementos naturales, se degradan sin dejar residuos nocivos) y totalmente reciclables. Asimismo, Envapro aboga por los envases compostables, como los platos de caña de azúcar y de hoja de palma, que al descomponerse permiten producir compost o abono.
